Mandriva 2006 nvidia problems

Hello.
i have updated my kernel, and installed the latest nvidia driver.
but when i try 'startx'
then i got this error:

Undefined Monitor "My Monitor" referenced by Screen "screen1".
(EE) Problem parsing the config file
(EE) Error parsing the config file

Fatal server error:
no screens found

I have a ADI monitor. Model P900 (p910+)
gfx carg Asus V9999 Geforce 6800

Did you have a working X before doing the nvidia driver?

Could try running drakx11 to reconfigure X for the generic 2D 'nv' driver, then edit xorg.conf to use the 'nvidia' driver. If your monitor is not listed then choose something close to yours, do not 'test' it, then edit xorg.conf and put in your monitors correct vertical and horizontal refresh rates in the monitor section.
